Hi THERE!
I am an experienced editorial director, journalist, and content strategist who is passionate about storytelling in all its forms.
Currently the editorial director of the literary and free expression nonprofit PEN America, I have led teams covering arts and entertainment, lifestyles, health and breaking news for major news organizations. At NBC, I was Head of Special Projects for TODAY Digital, focusing on content strategy and creating editorial franchises and newsletters for TODAY.com. I launched a new vertical, NBC News BETTER, and helped develop new series including TODAY's One Small Thing, a daily newsletter and Instagram account, and the Digiday award-winning Read with Jenna newsletter. I also worked as Supervising Health and Parents Editor at NBC News Digital. Previously, I was East Coast Entertainment and Lifestyles Editor for The Associated Press, overseeing cultural coverage of books, television, fashion, travel, homes, and more following stints as Lifestyle Editor, Deputy Editor for asap, an award-winning multimedia project targeting millennials, and supervising National Editor. My family inspired me to pursue a longtime dream of writing fiction and nonfiction for children. My debut picture book, How to Be a Rock Star, illustrated by Daniel Duncan, published in 2022 with G.P. Putnam’s Sons. My second picture book, Can You Imagine? The Life and Art of Yoko Ono comes out in 2025, illustrated by Yas Imamura and publishing with the Atheneum imprint of Simon & Schuster. I live in Brooklyn with my journalist husband and two children, who are my rock stars.
